Madden NFL 10 NFC East Showcase

EA’s latest batch of Madden NFL 10 media, including a new “sizzle” trailer and 41 screenshots, previews the teams of the NFC East division: the Cowboys, Eagles, Giants and Redskins. There’s been a lot of shuffling going on in the NFC East this off-season, what with T.O. getting dismissed from the Cowboys, the Redskins bringing in defensive stud Albert Haynesworth, the Eagles losing Brian Dawkins but rebounding with a strong draft, and the Giants going through all the hoopla with Plaxico Burress before ultimately getting rid of him. Should be a fun season in what is usually the most competitive division in the NFL, and it should be even more fun recreating the drama in the new Madden!

New Madden NFL 10 Screenshots

I wonder if this year’s Madden will have a new feature in it where you can snub the President after you win the Super Bowl. Nah, that’d just be silly!

But these new screenshots do show off some of the new features Madden NFL 10 will actually have, including Pro-Tak and QB Signature Styles in the PS3 and 360 versions and Showdown mode, Spotlight Moments and the Prediction System on the Wii.

Fresh off their epic battle in Super Bowl XLIII, Pittsburgh Steelers star safety Troy Polamalu and his flowing mane collide with Arizona Cardinals stud wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald and his flowing dreadlocks on the cover for Madden NFL 10, the first time in the franchise’s 21-year history the cover athlete spotlight has been shared by two players. I generally don’t take much interest in box art for sports games, but this is one snazzy cover, I must admit. As a Steelers diehard, though, I sure hope the Madden curse takes it easy on my man Polamalu…

Madden NFL 10 ships for PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii and Xbox 360 on August 14th.
