Four more fighters have been introduced for Marvel vs. Capcom 3, two for each side of the crossover conflict. Joining team Capcom are Sir Arthur from Ghosts ‘n Goblins and Nathan “Rad” Spencer from Bionic Commando, while Magneto and M.O.D.O.K. (aka “Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing”) bolster team Marvel’s roster.

Marvel vs. Capcom fans have been waiting a long time for this. After last year’s PSN and XBLA re-release of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and 10 years since the original version hit arcades, a third installment has finally been announced.
Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, in development for PS3 and Xbox 360, is the first true sequel in the popular crossover fighting game franchise in a decade, as I already mentioned. Built upon an advanced version of the MT Framework engine also used to power Resident Evil 5 and Lost Planet 2, MvC3 is said to blur the lines between 2D and 3D graphics (like Street Fighter IV, I presume) with a “living comic book art style.”
Other than that, the game sounds like vintage Marvel vs. Capcom, complete with an evolved three-on-three tag-team fighting system, over-the-top combos and a roster of over 30 characters.
Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is slated to ship in spring 2011.
