NBA 09: The Inside is bringing the series’ vaunted “The Life” campaign to PS3 for the first time this fall. For anyone unfamiliar with “The Life,” these two new trailers give you a clear idea of what to expect from the hoops soap opera.

Forget one cover athlete, that’s so yesterday’s business. For NBA 09: The Inside, Sony has signed up six — that’s right six! — top NBA ballers to grace the cover of this season’s hoops title for PS3 and PSP. The six hoopsters include Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Carlos Boozer and reigning NBA Finals MVP Paul Pierce. That’s one star-studded cover!

Sony’s first-party basketball sim is coming back for another season with the usual assortment of upgrades, like more modes, enhanced graphics and animations, better commentary, et cetera et cetera. On the PS3 front, NBA 09: The Inside marks the debut appearance of the series’ vaunted “The Life” campaign type mode on the console. Took long enough, but better late than never I suppose.
