First it was Blind Guardian in Sacred 2, now its Finnish symphonic power metal band Nightwish, whose song ‘Poet and the Pendulum’ plays behind this newish trailer (looks like it’s been in circulation for a month or so already, but I just got it today) for Piranha Bytes’ upcoming PC and Xbox 360 RPG Risen. I generally wouldn’t think of metal playing nicely in a fantasy setting, but Nightwish’s style seems to suit the game based on the trailer. Watch and listen.
