Outerlight, Scottish development studio behind 2007’s unique multiplayer shooter The Ship, is back at it again with Bloody Good Time, another whacked-out multiplayer FPS coming this fall to PC via Steam and Xbox 360 via XBLA, courtesy of Ubisoft.

Like The Ship, Bloody Good Time runs on Valve’s Source engine. And also like The Ship, Bloody Good Time puts an interesting twist on the typical FPS multiplayer model.

Instead of stalking passengers on a cruise ship, though, Bloody Good Time will have players competing in eight-player FPS battles on deranged movie sets as one of many oddball B-movie characters, such as the token black guy, a psychotic clown, a sexy bikini beach bunny and a muscle-bound surfer dude (those are the characters I see in the screenshots at least). Weapons will also range from normal guns like shotguns, pistols, flamethrowers, and crossbows to more unconventional instruments of death such as frying pans and remote-controlled rats strapped with explosives.

Bloody Good Time sure sounds like it will indeed be a bloody good time. Watch for it this fall on a PC or Xbox 360 near you.
