Payday 2: Crimewave Edition, the enhanced version of Overkill’s co-op heist shooter bundled with more than a year’s worth of DLC and updates right out of the box, has been locked in for a June 16th digital download and retail launch date on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The pre-order offer for the Hard Time Loot Bag DLC bonus pack is still available at participating retailers.

The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One Crimewave Edition for Payday 2, 505 Games and Overkill Software’s co-op bank robbing first-person shooter, is targeting a summertime retail heist with a confirmed launch officially set for June.
This “definitive” version of Payday 2 will feature all the DLC and free content updates that have been released on PC over the past year, including the Big Bank Heist starring Breaking Bad‘s Gus Fring as a contact known as The Dentist.
While participating retailers will offer the pre-order bonus pictured above, digital download pre-orders via PlayStation Store and Xbox Live will instead come with a 25% discount.

Two significant Payday 2 console developments out of E3 to report today, the headline grabber, of course, being the announcement of Payday 2: Crimewave Edition for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Crimewave Edition will contain new bonus content and other enhanced features, but 505 Games and Overkill Software haven’t confirmed any specific details just yet. Hopefully they’ll pack in some of the previous DLC or at least keep these new console versions up to date better than they have the last-gen PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.
Which brings me to the other news: the first three DLC packs previously released on PC between November of last year and January of this year — Armored Transport, Gage Weapon Pack #1, and Gage Weapon Pack #2 — are finally coming to PS3 and Xbox 360. They’ll be available separately or in a Swag Bag #1 bundle at a discounted price that has not yet been announced.
Console heisters, here’s a detailed overview of the long overdue DLC that’ll be coming your way soon:
The Armored Transport DLC
The Armored Transport DLC lets players do every heister’s dream — robbing armored transports full of valuables — right in the middle of Washington D.C. If they’re lucky, players can hit it big with a classic train robbery.
Up to four friends co-operate on the heists, and as the crew progresses they have a chance to unlock an even more rewarding job — a classic train robbery. New weapons, weapon modifications, masks, patterns and materials have been added to let players continue to build and customize their own guns and gear.
Gage Weapon Pack #1
Frag Grenades make their first entry into the PAYDAY series and are bound to spice things up. With the new Grenade Case asset, players can share grenades with each other during the heists. Three new weapons are added and players can now toggle between Single and Auto-fire with all full auto weapons. Four new animal masks have been added, as well as new patterns and materials.
Gage Weapon Pack #2
With Cloakers putting fear in the hearts of every criminal, Gage has the perfect antidote as he brings back the Light Machine Gun and introduces melee combat weapons to counter them in this new weapon pack. With the Light Machine Guns, players can provide cover for each other by unleashing devastating attacks.
Three Light Machine Guns and four Knives are added to the player’s arsenal. Four new masks from Gage’s collection have been added, as well as new patterns and materials.
