There’s yet another new Pokémon game on the way, didja know? Of course you did!
The next Pokémon Mystery Dungeon installment, Gates to Infinity, goes portable on the 3DS starting March 24th, and Nintendo’s celebrating the occasion with the simultaneous release of a bright yellow 3DS XL emblazoned with the adorable, rosy-cheeked face of the most iconic of all the Pokémon, Pikachu.
The $200 Pikachu handheld will come with a 4GB SD memory card, but won’t contain a copy of Gates to Infinity or any other game. Instead, Nintendo will reward customers who buy a new 3DS XL system and a copy of either Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity or Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon (also shipping March 24) and register them with Club Nintendo between March 21 and April 30 with a code to download one of five games from the Nintendo eShop free of charge. Those five games will include Super Mario 3D Land, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, Art Academy: Lessons for Everyone!, Star Fox 64 3D or Freakyforms Deluxe: Your Creations, Alive!
