F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin – VGBlogger.com http://www.vgblogger.com Celebrating geek culture -- Books, Gadgets, Video Games & More! Mon, 28 Jul 2008 18:34:08 +0000 en-US hourly 1 [E3 2008] Two More Project Origin Trailers http://www.vgblogger.com/e3-2008-two-more-project-origin-trailers/3525/ http://www.vgblogger.com/e3-2008-two-more-project-origin-trailers/3525/#comments Mon, 28 Jul 2008 13:34:08 +0000 http://www.vgblogger.com/?p=3525 F.E.A.R. was and still is a fantastic game. Still to this day, its enemy AI is the best I’ve seen in a game, possibly ever. Only problem was the lack of variety in all phases of its design. You shot the same bad guys in the same environments with the same weapons from beginning to end. Monolith clearly took that criticism to heart in moving on to the sequel. Project Origin‘s E3 showing this year did a lot to showcase just how much more diverse the game’s enemies, levels and weapons truly are, and I even caught a live demo walkthrough on G4 in which the developers specifically touched on how much of an emphasis gameplay variety was this time out. These two latest trailers do a particularly good job showing a lot of how the game has grown since the original, what with new enemies like the undead puppeteers called the Remnants and the new Alien-esque mech battle suit.

[E3 2008] Project Origin “Fear Alma Again” Trailer http://www.vgblogger.com/e3-2008-project-origin-fear-alma-again-trailer/3374/ http://www.vgblogger.com/e3-2008-project-origin-fear-alma-again-trailer/3374/#comments Sat, 12 Jul 2008 20:39:07 +0000 http://www.vgblogger.com/?p=3374 As much as I enjoyed F.E.A.R., for whatever reason Project Origin, the true sequel to Monolith Productions’ FPS supernatural thriller, has never quite caught my interest. But thanks to this sweet new E3 trailer Warner Bros. just posted to the game’s official website I have finally seen the light and am itching to confront Alma once again.
