SouthPeak Games has gone Roogoo crazy. First released only for Xbox Live Arcade, then ported over to PC soon after, SpiderMonk Entertainment’s adorable puzzle game is now being brought to Nintendo’s Wii and DS platforms. Both versions are due out this holiday season and will feature brand new levels tailored around the Wii’s motion controls and the DS touch screen, four-player modes of the party play, co-op and competitive varieties, and cross-platform compatibility that will allow you to hook your DS up to your Wii and use it as a controller in unique play modes designed specifically for this function. And before you ask, yes, you will have to buy both versions to take advantage of this feature.
“Roogoo is a perfect fit for Nintendo gamers,” said Melanie Mroz, CEO of SouthPeak Games. “It’s a great family-friendly puzzler with fantastic gameplay that can take advantage of the unique offering of these two systems. We’re very excited about making Roogoo part of the Nintendo lineup later this year.”
Now where are the PSN and PSP versions, SouthPeak? You’ve gone to every other platform, might as well go the distance now and given the Sony faithful a chance to experience the colorful, cutesy universe of Roogoo.
