Fans of vintage video game box art, pay close attention. Bitmap Books’ latest art book, Super Famicom: The Box Art Collection, is now available for pre-order exclusively at Funstock Retro, reasonably priced at £24.99 / $35.87. Pre-orders also include a bonus double-sided bookmark.

If you’re looking for something a bit more extravagant, a collector’s edition is also available directly from Bitmap Books. This edition, available in a limited pre-order stock only, comes in a “Super Famicom style game box with a card sleeve and plastic tray inside.” Obviously, it’s a bit pricier at £49.99 / $72.15.

As the title suggests, Super Famicom: The Box Art Collection is a hardbound collection of high quality lithographic prints of Japanese Super Famicom box art. The book is said to contain box artwork for 250 games, “including many rare examples and some that have never before been documented in print.” Already sounds like a must-have collector’s item to me.
