Super Monkey Ball for PS Vita is custom built specifically for the portable’s motion-based control features, putting the gyro sensor, dual analog sticks, touch screen and rear touch pad to good use while rolling along the moving platforms, hazards, and narrow, spiraling pathways of the game’s floating, banana-filled obstacle courses. New worlds, new mini-games, enhanced graphics and Wi-Fi multiplayer for up to four players are other key features to keep your monkey eye on.
“Since evolving onto the current generation of consoles, the Super Monkey Ball franchise has always offered innovative game design, challenging the hardware capabilities for all the consoles it has released on,” said Gary Knight, Senior Vice President of Marketing at SEGA Europe and SEGA of America. “Super Monkey Ball for PlayStation Vita is a great opportunity to experience the exciting features that the PlayStation Vita system offers and the SEGA development team is bringing an exciting new experience while staying true to the franchise.”

Super Monkey Ball is going 3D, y’all!
AiAi, MeeMee, GonGon and Baby are rolling onto the Nintendo 3DS next year in the tentatively titled Super Monkey Ball, and they’re bringing with them three play modes — single-player puzzle stages, Monkey Race and Monkey Fight — wireless multiplayer for four players, and control options to play the game using the 3DS motion sensor or the Slide Pad.
“The moment I saw the features of the Nintendo 3DS, I could not help thinking how perfectly Super Monkey Ball would work on this new hardware. I could quickly picture myself holding the Nintendo 3DS using the motion sensor and playing Super Monkey Ball” commented Toshiro Nagoshi, creator and developer of the Super Monkey Ball franchise. “The simple gameplay allows players to enjoy the 3D graphics to the fullest and now that we have brought this vision to life…bingo! We have our all-time favorite Super Monkey Ball experience with the new excitement of the Nintendo 3DS!”
