Decapre Unmasked as Ultra Street Fighter IV’s Fifth New Character

M. Bison’s masked Russian Doll, Decapre, has been revealed as the fifth and final new character in Ultra Street Fighter IV, joining previously confirmed fighters Poison, Hugo, Elena and Rolento.

Fans will remember Decapre from her debut appearance as an NPC in Street Fighter Alpha 3. Come summertime, players will get the chance to put her “quick and elusive scramble moves as well as her psycho power infused attacks” into playable action for the first time.

Ultra Street Fighter IV will be available in early June as a $14.99 digital upgrade for existing owners of Super Street Fighter IV or Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition on PS3 or Xbox 360, with a $39.99 retail edition to follow for both consoles in August. August will also mark the release of the digital upgrade and full digital bundle for PC, priced at $14.99 and $29.99, respectively.

Ultra Street Fighter IV Introduces Online Training Mode and 3v3 Team Elimination Battles

From the Capcom Cup fighting game event earlier today in San Francisco, Capcom has revealed new modes to be included in the upcoming Ultra-sized edition of Street Fighter IV.

When Ultra Street Fighter IV gets its ultra combo brawl on in Summer 2014, fight fans will be treated to the additions of Team Battle Mode, featuring 3v3 online multiplayer battles with an elimination survival twist, as well as an Online Training Mode for players to practice their skills against other players in a non-competitive environment.

Other previously announced content coming to Ultra Street Fighter IV includes an additional five fighters (Poison, Hugo, Elena, Rolento and a “secret all-new playable character”), six new environments (Pitstop 109, Cosmic Elevator, Half Pipe and more), and loads of rebalanced mechanics and gameplay tweaks based directly on fan feedback.

Ultra Street Fighter IV will be available as a $15 DLC upgrade for existing owners of Super Street Fighter IV or Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition in June 2014 for PS3 and Xbox 360, and for PC players in August 2014. Retail console versions, including all previously released character costumes, will also ship in August for $39.99.

Capcom Brings the Goods This Spring

Capcom today confirmed its projected game lineup for the spring, a lineup including the likes of Monster Hunter Tri, Lost Planet 2, Final Fight: Double Impact and Super Street Fighter IV. Add those to other Q1 games like Dark Void, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars, Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, Mega Man 10 and Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition, and Capcom appears poised to have as impressive a game lineup as any publisher for the first half of 2010.

As for the release dates of the spring lineup, Monster Hunter Tri (standalone and the newly-announced Classic Controller Pro bundle) will ship throughout North America and Europe in April exclusively for Wii, Lost Planet 2 will ship in North America and Europe on May 18th for PS3 and Xbox 360, Final Fight: Double Impact will launch on PSN and XBLA in April, and Super Street Fighter IV for PS3 and Xbox 360 will ship in North America on April 27th and in Europe on April 30th.

Hot Super Street Fighter IV Footage From CES

Three new Super Street Fighter IV videos arrived this week from Capcom’s CES showcase. First up is a trailer highlighting more of the new features like extra costumes, rival battles and whatnot, and then there are two gameplay clips after that presenting bouts between Adon vs. Ken and Cody vs. Ryu.

When it ships in the spring, Super Street Fighter IV will feature eight new fighters on top of the original game’s existing 25-character roster, and we now know who six of the eight are. Joining the previously revealed fighters T. Hawk, Dee Jay and Juri are Guy, Cody and Adon, Capcom announced on Friday. Catch these new fighters in action in the accompanying trailer and screenshots underneath while you ponder who the remaining two mystery fighters could be. Any guesses?

Super Street Fighter IV’s Four New Modes in Action

When it launches in spring 2010, Super Street Fighter IV will introduce four new modes, among other content, to beef up its predecessor released earlier this year. Those modes — Team Battle, Replay Channel, Endless Battle and Bonus Stages — are on full display in this latest trailer for the game, along with a quick tease for a downloadable Tournament Mode. Personally, I’m most excited for the Bonus Stage mini-games, those are going to be a blast!

Super Street Fighter IV Delivers Ultimate Street Fighter Experience in Spring 2010

Capcom today announced Super Street Fighter IV, a sort of expanded re-release/mini-sequel of Street Fighter IV released earlier this year to rave reviews. Super Street Fighter IV will be the “ultimate vision of Street Fighter,” or in other words, what Street Fighter IV was probably meant to be in the first place.

Super Street Fighter IV, due out for PS3 and Xbox 360 in Spring 2010, will return with the full roster of 25 fighters from Street Fighter IV and same core 2D fighting engine augmented by eight new characters (only T. Hawk and Juri have been confirmed thus far), new Ultra Combos, enhanced online matchmaking and gameplay, and various other refinements to “many of the groundbreaking features introduced in Street Fighter IV.”

That’s all the info Capcom is giving us for now, but if you check below you’ll find a teaser trailer and the first screenshots of T. Hawk and Juri in action.
