First announced over three years ago only to spend much of its time shrouded in secrecy — we got a chance to interview the game’s lead designer before it disappeared — Sony Online Entertainment’s spy themed persistent world shooter The Agency has finally returned to action at E3 this week, hopefully quelling any thoughts about the game becoming vaporware. I know it’s a PC title too, but I’m kind of surprised the PS3 version didn’t get any face time at Sony’s media briefing earlier today — it did have quite a bit of hype surrounding it once upon a time, and I would have preferred seeing a progress demo of it more so than some of the other games that were shown.
But hey, that’s what we’re here for! If you’ve been dying to see how The Agency is progressing, hit the jump for a new trailer showcasing PvP play and a fresh batch of screenshots. If any additional game details are announced I’ll be sure to pass them along in a follow up. From purely a graphical perspective, though, the game appears to have improved quite nicely from previous builds.
