If you’re in New York City and still thinking about where to take your dad this Father’s Day weekend, here’s an idea for you. This Sunday, June 15th between 1 and 4 PM (registration actually begins at 12 PM), the Nintendo World Store will be playing host to a Super Smash Bros. Brawl Wii Father’s Day Tournament. The competition will provide the opportunity for kids (13 years and older) and their dads to team up and compete against other father/child teams in a bracketed tournament. When the dust settles, the winning father/child team will take home two Wii consoles, two copies of Brawl and a trophy honoring the win. Nintendo will also be taking and framing father/child photos on site, so if all else fails you can at least get a nice photo with dad (and maybe even Mario, he’ll be on site for photos too!).
