Quietly launching this week for Xbox 360 Kinect, Kinect Rush: A Disney•Pixar Adventure brings motion-control gaming to the whole family in the form of fun activities based on classic Disney•Pixar films, including The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Up, Cars and Toy Story. Players will use their bodies and voices to control their favorite animated characters–or their own personalized avatar using the body scanning feature–in puzzle solving tasks and challenges of agility.
We’ll find out soon if the gameplay is any good, but from the looks of these new videos–one’s the 90-second official TV spot, the other’s a gameplay trailer–the developers clearly captured the heart, spirit and visual wonder of the chosen animated film universes. That alone should make it a wholesome motion-control romp for the target audience.
Target has a few gaming deals going on this week for anyone looking to squeeze in some early holiday shopping or pre-holiday self-gifting.
The best of the bunch is a buy two, get one free offer. You can buy any two PS3, Wii or Xbox 360 games and get a third of equal or lesser value completely free of charge. Unfortunately, it seems someone forgot to tell Target that Gran Turismo 5‘s release hit the skids, though, as the circular ad (pictured) still lists the oft-delayed PS3 racing sim as launching this week (though the fine print does mention that all release dates are subject to change). So no, you can’t pick that game as one of your three.
Anyway…on to more deals!
Next up is a PS3 bundle featuring a 250GB console, a wireless controller, a copy of the Toy Story 3 game and the Toy Story 1 and 2 animated movies on Blu-ray/DVD, all for the sum of $350. Nice family bundle, though it’s a shame it doesn’t include the Toy Story 3 movie to complete the collection.
Finally, Target celebrates the launch of Xbox 360 Kinect with a fairly simple offer. Buy the $300 4GB Xbox 360 Kinect bundle, which comes with the console, camera, wireless controller and a copy of Kinect Adventures, and you get a $20 gift card. Nothing too special, but hey, it’s free. Free gift cards are never a bad thing.
All three offers are valid through Saturday, November 6th.
