Now’s your chance to get a sneak peek trial run with TrackMania‘s DS debut before it ships out to retailers next week on March 17th. This week, Atlus USA has launched a playable three-race demo to the Wii’s Nintendo Channel, so if you’re mulling over whether or not to grab the full game and own a Wii with your DS you’ll want to log on now and give it a go. The demo will only be available for a limited time as well. Better hurry and get your test drive in before it’s too late.

Atlus Revs Up TrackMania DS for US Release

Atlus does RPGs and often does them very well. But other genres? It’s rare that they publish titles of the non-role-playing persuasion, which makes today’s announcement that Atlus USA has signed up the North American publishing rights for TrackMania DS all the more surprising. Of course, Atlus still likes to refer it as an RPG, “Racing Powerhouse of a Game” that is. You gotta love Atlus!

TrackMania DS Track Editor Trailer

Been a couple months since Focus Home showed TrackMania DS in motion for the first time — and that debut trailer sure was impressive — but finally a second trailer has been released. This one focuses solely on the game’s track editor, a robust toolset that puts the stylus and touch screen functionality of the DS to use with over 300 construction pieces and wireless track sharing (and racing) amongst friends. Coming from Firebrand, the same team behind Race Driver: Create & Race, this should be great!

TrackMania DS ships next month in Europe. A US ship date has not yet been determined.
