Gears of War: Judgment March 2013 Launch Set, OverRun Mode and Island Map Revealed

Another gaming mega-blockbuster is locked and loaded for launch next year, Gears of War: Judgment officially joining a stacked early 2013 lineup–which already includes heavy hitters like God of War: Ascension, Tomb Raider, DmC – Devil May Cry and BioShock Infinite–with a March 19th street date, exclusively for Xbox 360.

Judgment is the Gears of War trilogy prequel starring Kilo Squad leaders Damon Baird and Augustus Cole as they fight to save Halvo Bay from the Locust in the immediate aftermath of Emergence Day.

On the multiplayer side, new to Gears of War: Judgment will be a mode called OverRun, in which two squads of five will battle over a generator at the heart of the map. Team COG will play the defenders, team Locust will be the attackers, each faction offering unique class-based loadouts and strategies. Watch the following tutorial–narrated by none other than Damon Baird himself–to learn more about this latest addition to competitive Gears warfare.

The Island multiplayer map has also been revealed today via a brief gameplay clip and some screenshots:

Second Knights in the Nightmare Tutorial Vid Arrives

Another tutorial video here for you to check out. This one’s actually the second tutorial for Atlus USA’s unique DS game Knights in the Nightmare. And if the videos aren’t enough for you, Atlus also released a playable tutorial demo via the Wii Nintendo Channel last week. You should give that a try, if it’s still available.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite Tutorial Series Kicks Off

Over in Japan, Monster Hunter is HUGE. But here in the US, not so much. That sure isn’t stopping Capcom from trying to make it a hit with Westerners, though, and with the next PSP installment — Monster Hunter Freedom Unite — getting ready to launch on June 23rd Capcom has put together a series of tutorial videos teaching the ways of the master Monster Hunter in an attempt to, I suppose, woo in intimidated newcomers and give veteran Monster Hunters a look at some of Unite‘s new features.

Here is the first tutorial episode, “Welcome to Monster Hunter.” Stay tuned for more throughout the next few weeks.
