UK indie shop White Paper Games is just about ready to launch the studio’s debut title with Ether One entering the final stretch leading to its PC release next Tuesday, March 25 via direct buy, Humble Store, GOG.com, and Steam. Pre-orders for the Deluxe Edition are open now on all those sites but Steam at a discounted rate of $16.99, down from the full launch price of $29.99. This early bird special includes a number of digital bonuses, including the soundtrack, a comic book, the game’s script, some artwork and wallpapers. Purchasing directly from the developer or the Humble Store will also come with a Steam key upon release in addition to the DRM-free copy.

The game itself, if you haven’t heard about it, is a first-person adventure game exploring the fragile nature of the mind and the capability of keeping the memories of your loved ones alive. Story fiends will be free to explore the world at their own pace, free from the potential “Arrrgh, I’m stumped!” frustrations of puzzle solving. For the full experience, players will be able to take on the optional puzzles which aim to rekindle the old adventure gaming days of having to scribble clues on the nearest scrap of paper and decipher the problems by hand.
