Take Your Seats for the LEGO The Hobbit Video Game Trailer Premiere

Fresh off The Desolation of Smaug‘s debut weekend in theaters, Warner Bros. rides the hype by delivering the first-ever trailer for the LEGO The Hobbit video game!

I should be cautious given my partial disappointment with LEGO The Lord of the Rings (and the fact that the game will only be based on the first two movies in the trilogy), but something about seeing hobbits, dwarves, wizards and other Middle-earthian folk turned into minifigs just pulls all the right heartstrings and brings out the kid in me. TT Games’ playful brand of LEGO-game humor is just too difficult to resist (see the end of the trailer).

If you own a game-playing device, look out for LEGO The Hobbit next year. You’ll be able to play it on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita and PC.
