Tecmo Bowl Throwback Blitzes PSN and XBLA

Classic football franchise Tecmo Bowl is strapping on its cleats for another comeback, this time as a downloadable game for PSN and XBLA. 2008’s Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff for the DS was the series’ last installment, and, per my review, it was a masterful remake.

Tecmo Bowl Throwback, scheduled to kick off on PS3 and Xbox 360 this spring via digital download, brings the franchise’s timeless gameplay to a new generation, complete with the option to play with the old school retro sprites or glossy new HD polygons. Throwback will also support local and online multiplayer for two players, fully customizable teams and rosters, leaderboards, and Preseason, Season and Pro Bowl play modes.
