Tecmo Koei Unleashes Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends on PlayStation 4

For the first time in what seems like forever, a new PlayStation gaming machine — in this case the PlayStation 4 — shipped without a Dynasty Warriors game in its launch lineup. What’s up with that? We all know that nothing sells a new system better than some mindless hacking and slashing through a sea of enemies.

But have no fear, Tecmo Koei is making things right with the March 25th launch of Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition on PS4 (and Vita, as well as a vanilla version of Xtreme Legends on PS3). It’ll feature a wealth of new content, including Ambition Mode, Challenge Mode, and additional hypothetical stages and side stories in Free Mode and Story Mode. Plus, cross-save and cross-play will be supported across all three platforms. Players of the original PS3 Dynasty Warriors 8 will even be able to transfer their save files to the new game on any platform.

Here is your first ever look at a Dynasty Warriors game in motion on PS4. Play it yourself on Tuesday.
