Tex Murphy Returns to Revive the Full-Motion Video Adventure

Atlus has signed on with Big Finish Games to publish Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure on Steam (Windows and Mac) in early 2014.

The first Tex Murphy game in 15 years and the sixth series installment overall, Tesla Effect will put adventure game fans back into the role of the titular private dick, who this time around must investigate a mysterious attack that has left him wandering post-apocalyptic San Francisco with all memories from the last seven years of his life completely wiped away.

Most important of all, this story will unfold via live-action full-motion video cutscenes. I don’t think it’s any great surprise that this game piled up the Kickstarter crowd funds.

Are you feeling nostalgic yet? No? Then watch this!
