By next spring this summer’s The Amazing Spider-Man movie tie-in game isn’t going to have much relevance, but that’s not going to stop Activision from trying to milk every last cent out of the Wii U hype with a low-risk port.
Beenox’s open world Spidey adventure has been confirmed for a Wii U release, and as already mentioned it’s currently scheduled to ship sometime during 2013’s spring season. The Wii U edition is being designed to support an optional motion control setup and Gamepad functionality that will let the player interact with the GPS and other interface features of the Osphone in-game menu system from the touchscreen.
Previously released downloadable content, including the Rhino Challenge Pack, the Oscorp Search & Destroy Pack, the Lizard Rampage Pack, and the Stan Lee Adventure Pack, will also be available right out of the box.
