It happens every year. Games get announced for fall/holiday season launches. Then those same games later get pushed out of the crowed fall/holiday season into early the following year. The Darkness II is the latest victim of this, and surely it won’t be the last we see before the year lets out.
Previously planned for a fall 2011 launch on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, The Darkness II has been rescheduled to a February 7, 2012 North American launch (Feb. 10 internationally). So you’ll have to wait a few more months to experience the joys of Quad-Wielding FPS mayhem.
If you’re attending San Diego Comic-Con later this week, though, you’ll at least be able to get a taste of The Darkness II, with 2K Games all set to provide eight playable demo kiosk stations and co-host a panel entitled “Spreading The Darkness: From Comic Book to Video Games and Entertainment,” which will take place on Thursday, July 21, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. PDT.
