The New Hitman is a Real Showstopper

From the game’s PAX Prime panel, IO Interactive and Square Enix have premiered the first official gameplay playthrough demo from the upcoming sixth Hitman, which launches December 8th on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

The demo features the “Showstopper” mission, in which Agent 47 stalks a target at a Parisian fashion show. Without giving too much away, the playthrough shows why IO is calling this the most ambitious Hitman game yet, with a huge sandbox environment full of open-ended possibilities for pulling off a successful assassination. The scale of the environment and vast number of crowd NPCs all active and interacting at the same time is seriously impressive.

I’m thinking stealth fans–and fans of Blood Money–are going to be very happy with this one after Absolution‘s somewhat polarizing reception.
