Rare has more than just the new Banjo-Kazooie game in the works for the good ol’ Xbox 360, the team is also hard at work on a real sequel to Viva Piñata (forget about that Viva Piñata: Party Animals crap). Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise is currently on track to ship this September, and it’ll feature everything you’d expect from a sequel. 32 new piñata species to “attract, capture, protect, train and manage,” new interactions, a new “Just for Fun” mode offering quick pick-up-and-play accessibility, new two-player co-op garden building over Xbox Live, a new photo mode and The Eye of Judgment-style Xbox Live Vision Camera functionality for scanning printed cards in through the camera to introduce new items directly into the game world. Microsoft’s Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise game page has all the details. Before jumping over there, continue after the break for the first gameplay footage and screenshots.
