Thanks for reading, Nathan. Appreciate the comment and glad you’re enjoying the blog!
]]>There’s no improvement to graphical detail that I can detect. Just helps prevent texture pop-in and makes certain load times maybe a little bit quicker — though they’re not slow to begin with.
]]>It seems this option should work. The disc change happens at the end of chapter 2, and so far everything from chapter 3 on runs off disc 2 without any disc changes back and forth.
Strangely, I haven’t installed the second disc but the texture pop-in thus far through chapter 3 just playing from the disc hasn’t been nearly as bad as it was during the prologue before I installed the first disc. There was one cutscene where the same character popped in like three times in a row, which was awful. But everything’s been fine other than that one scene.
]]>Sorry if it’s an obvious question, I’ve never played multi-disc games before.
]]>thanks for the install advice plays smooth…thanks
]]>Most likely that will be my only option, but I’m not sure when and how the disc change works for this game. And if I want to go back and replay the game or certain sections to see how different choices affect the outcome, I’ll have to uninstall/reinstall again and again. I do have a few more larger XBLA games I can delete to possibly make enough room, but they’re games I’m not sure I’m done playing yet so I’m hesitant to drop them off.
