CD Projekt, try as they might, can’t seem to pull off a perfect launch with The Witcher, be it last year’s original edition or this week’s Enhanced Edition re-release. The retail version of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition just hit store shelves in North America earlier in the week (the free download version just came out today) and already it needs a patch. Thankfully, though, it’s a very, very minor one. In all their efforts to make the Enhanced Edition super-enhanced and fill it with extra goodies, CD Projekt accidentally forgot to include one teeny, tiny file enabling added blood effects. Therefore a Blood Revival patch has been issued to remedy the bloodless monster slaying players have had to suffer through. Currently the patch is available from sites like Fileshack and Worthplaying, but it’ll also be up on The Witcher site sometime later today.

Hehe … I have just reinstalled the Witcher and hadn’t even downloaded the EE update yet. I suppose that is better than STALKER which had 3 patches before I got my game.
