Recently at AceGamez: Volume 1

In the first of what will be a regular feature of mine recapping (or shamelessly plugging if you’d rather call it that) my recent review, preview, and feature work from over at AceGamez, I have quite a few new articles I’d like to share.

Leading the list this week, I have recently compiled an in-depth Wii game guide briefly detailing nearly 30 of the top games expected to make the console a hit from launch day and beyond. So if you’re looking to be an early Wii adopter and want some insight on what games to consider watching out for, check out my Nintendo Wii Game Guide and let me know what you think. I hope you find it useful and informative for your Wii game purchasing consideration this holiday season!

Now, I know the entire VGB gang here is waiting on pins and needles for this upcoming week’s highly anticipated release of Guitar Hero II, as any PS2 owner I’m sure. I mean seriously, who doesn’t love Guitar Hero? In anticipation of the impending GHII launch, I was recently able to toss some questions at RedOctane’s Associate Producer Ted Lange to find out more about the game’s song selection process and other topics. For all the details, click on over to my Guitar Hero II Interview. I’d also like to give a shout out to fellow AceGamez writer Tony Peters for his contributions in helping me put this interview together.

As far as reviews go, in recent weeks I’ve worked on some real gems, such as Atlus’ Contact and Touch Detective, a disappointment in Sega’s anticipated yet ultimately mediocre brawler Yakuza, and somewhere in the middle THQ’s Nickelodeon-licensed Avatar: The Last Airbender action-RPG. Thankfully I wasn’t stuck playing any big stinkers though! For my take on these games and to read some of my other recent works, please follow the links below:
