Toki Tori 2 to Hatch on Steam Just in Time for Independence Day

After nearly two years of development, Toki Tori 2‘s long-expected Steam hatching date is finally set. You’ll be able to play Two Tribes’ “beautifully minimalist platform-puzzler” on your PC/Mac come July 2nd!

Toki Tori 2 on Steam is more than a straight adaptation of the Wii U edition. It’s official title actually is Toki Tori 2+, the ‘+’ pointing to some new content being added for PC/Mac gamers who have been patiently waiting for their chance to take the loveable chicken on a grand Metroidvania adventure.

Two Tribes has a blog post detailing the new content, but in short you can expect an early guide mechanic, improved world map presentation and navigation, new landmarks such as windmills, more puzzles, a level editor with Steam Workshop integration, and more than 30 Steam achievements.

Wii U owners worried about getting gypped on the added content also need not fret. Many of the Steam upgrades, including the level editor, will make it into the Wii U version via patch. Wonderful news all around!
