Okay, everyone. You can calm down now. The timed exclusivity period for Rise of the Tomb Raider has been confirmed, and there really isn’t that much of a wait between platform releases.
Following its initial launch on Xbox 360 and Xbox One this holiday season (November 10th specifically), Rise of the Tomb Raider will make its first migration to other platforms when the PC version arrives for Windows 10 and Steam in early 2016.
However, the console exclusivity period will–as is typically the case with timed exclusivity deals–last a full year, with the PlayStation 4 version officially slated for a 2016 holiday season launch.
Unless you just have to be “first” to play a game, waiting anywhere from a few months to a year for the next Tomb Raider adventure isn’t such a big deal. Certainly not one that warranted the knee-jerk social media hissy fit that erupted when the game was first announced for Xbox consoles.
