Hawk’s videogame relevance feels far, far away. but given that everyone else is jumping aboard the HD-remake money train, this is a party Activision (the cash-grabbiest of the big shops) couldn’t possibly miss.

I think that awful peripheral is exactly why they’re doing this HD update. They’re banking on nostalgia to mask the lingering stench Ride and Shred left on the series. Then, knowing Activision, if it’s a success they’ll probably rush off and make some horrible Tony Hawk Kinect game (you can skate without a skateboard!) and throw away any respect they win back 🙂

Has the taste of that godforsaken skateboard peripheral finally worn off?
