Trine‘s arduous journey through the North American PSN approval process is finally almost over. Having already been available on PC for months now and on the European PSN for a couple weeks, Frozenbyte’s constantly-delayed platform/puzzle game will be released in the North American PlayStation Store on October 22nd. Don’t quite understand the long release gap between regions, but hey, at least it’s on the way and we have a specific date to look forward to!
My only concern now is over how many people will actually still care enough about and be in position to buy Trine by October 22nd. Between now and then PS3 owners are going to have so many other games grabbing at their wallets, namely big exclusives like Uncharted 2, Demon’s Souls and Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time. Will there still be room for Trine at that point? I sure hope so, but I’m a bit worried it’s going to get lost in the fall madness. We shall see…
Ah – so it was the EU PSN release I saw a couple of weeks back! Was meaning to ask you about that. Considering the official PC price has dropped and there have been loads of sales, I also wonder if anyone will care …
Yep, only the EU version came out for some reason. Still can’t figure out why the US version is coming so much later…
