Naughty Dog’s Co-President Evan Wells has revealed some juicy new details on Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune in an update at the PlayStation.Blog. The lead topic of the post was mainly to announce that as of September 16th, the PS3 action/adventure title hit beta and all that is left to do is some final bug hunting and gameplay balancing, meaning the game is nearly finished and on schedule to ship next month. That’s always good news to hear!
Better yet, Wells continued with more good news in the post’s comments, first confirming that a PSN demo for Uncharted is in the works for release prior to the game’s final ship date (no specific date yet though), then revealing that they are working on a simultaneous localization in 13 languages to release in all territories within a three-week span, and finally announcing right on the spot that 1080i support has just been implemented into the game based on the pouring in of comments for such support. Up until yesterday, it was only going to support 720p, so that was a nice surprise announcement.
