Velocity Ultra Presents its Vita-Specific Upgrades

VelocityUltra

FuturLab’s critically acclaimed PlayStation Minis vertical-scrolling shmup is teleporting onto PlayStation Vita this May. While the original can already be played on a Vita as is, Velocity Ultra has been overhauled to take full advantage of the platform’s increased power and playability over the PSP.

On full display in the embedded trailer, the dedicated Vita remake features native HD resolution, cartoon style cutscene artwork, additional visual effects while maintaining 60 frames per second, trophies (including a Platinum), PSN leaderboards and new control options for touch to teleport and bomb dropping with the right analog stick. It looks to be a shoot ’em up blast from the past, with just the right amount of modern polish.
