It’s not getting much (or any) pub, but there’s a new RPG out this week for PS3 and Xbox 360 (and coming to PC on January 18th after a slight delay) from Atari. The game is called Venetica, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how much I’ve enjoyed the first few hours I’ve been able to put into the Xbox 360 version. I’m still very early, but so far I would say it tops other ‘PC-first’ Xbox 360 RPGs I’ve played, like Risen, Divinity II and Two Worlds (I’m also playing Gothic 4, and I would give Venetica the edge over that game too).
Mike and I will be working on one of our customary ‘console versus PC’ RPG discussion reviews in the coming weeks, but for now I wanted to share a couple trailers and some screenshots Atari sent along to accompany our review when it runs. So take a gander at those and check back soon for our final impressions. And in the meantime, if you have a specific question about the game, ask away in the comments and I’ll do my best to answer.
