…And it’s coming much sooner than I thought. Sega has announced that the official North American release date for Virtua Fighter 5 for the PS3 is locked in for February 20, 2007, an unexpected earlier arrival compared to the game’s originally announced spring 2007 release (and one more reason for me to bust hump to do whatever I can to somehow get a PS3 early in the new year). This is certainly good news for PS3 owners (all two of you who’ve actually been able to find one) considering there isn’t a whole lot out there other than Resistance: Fall of Man to really go gung-ho over and another exclusive killer-app is badly needed. Our gaming friends across the pond should be excited as well because Sega has also confirmed VF5 will be an official launch title for the PS3’s European launch next year. Europe getting a later launch wasn’t a bad thing afterall…
