Welcome to the World of Magicka

Paradox Interactive will be branching into the console market later this year with two new games: there’s the team-based multiplayer shooter Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West, and, the one I’m most interested in, Arrowhead Game’s Norse-inspired fantasy action game Magicka, which is due for PC and console downloadable release in Q2 2010.

Magicka looks similar to hack n’ slashers like Diablo, but apparently it’s not an action-RPG at all. Instead, it appears to be more of a co-op focused arcade action game with power-ups and unique team-oriented spellcasting tactics. I’ve posted a new trailer and interview video below if you’d like to learn more about the wonderful world of Magicka.
