What Did You Play This Weekend?

TraumaCenter.jpgYes yes, Zelda is on my list of course. I’ve been playing that thing since I got the system and am almost finished with it. I’ve got about 30 hours into it, so hopefully there’s only another ten or so. I’m not even attempting to complete the side quests like obtaining all of the insects or Poe souls.

I did take some time away from Zelda to try out Trauma Center: Second Opinion. I never played the original game on the DS, but had heard great things about it. I figured it was one of the more interesting titles besides Twilight Princess out of Nintendo’s Wii launch lineup, so I gave it a shot. If you’re not familiar with this game, basically you take the role of a new surgeon who learns new procedures and also discovers latent special abilities all while saving the lives of patients. You use the Wii’s remote mostly as a pointer to perform operations such as suturing lacerations, or removing tumors. The best part about the game is that each mission is only a few minutes long, so you can actually make progress on the game even if you only have ten or fifteen minutes available for gaming.

Also, I’m sad to admit this but I’ve had a relapse. A WoW relapse to be more specific. My wife and I haven’t played WoW since sometime in August because I canceled our accounts so that she could focus more on her masters dissertation. Well, the paper is almost finished and she will defend it on Wednesday, so I decided as a treat for both of us to reactivate our accounts and start new Horde characters with Rachel and her husband. We ended up playing until 2am on Sunday morning and until 11pm last night. I think we’ll be in this for the long haul this time. So if anyone wants to join us you’re more than welcome. We’re on the Muradin server and are running the following characters:

Zach: Omokusaki (Tauren Druid), Necrolo (Undead Warlock)
Amy: Odonata (Tauren Shaman)
Rachel: Evilphoenix (Undead Priest)
Ed: Wardo (Undead Warrior)
