Wii Resident Evil Light Gun Shooters Get an HD PS Move Makeover

Following in the on-rails footsteps of Dead Space: Extraction and House of the Dead: Overkill (as well as House of the Dead 3), Wii light gun shooters Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles are due for PS3 ports this summer in North America and Europe, complete with enhanced HD graphics, PlayStation Move support and Trophies. As a light gun shooter lover, I just have to say thanks, Capcom!

Unfortunately the ResEvil PS Move duo, officially dubbed Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection, won’t see a Blu-ray retail release. As of now, Capcom has only announced plans to sell the combo pack as a PSN digital download beginning sometime this June. After that, the collection will be disbanded and made available as standalone downloads, should you not want to buy them together for some odd reason.

Peep the first trailer and screenshots for a look at the on-rails HD horror.
