Capcom has confirmed that another round of updates for both the PC and Xbox 360 versions of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition<\/em> are getting ready for release on August 16th.<\/p>\n

On that date, PC Lost Planet<\/em> players will be getting an automatic patch download adding in new DX 10 enhancements to improve depth of field, motion blur and fur shading effects, and a four-option chat system for communicating with others in the lobby, during gameplay and on the result screen. PC Map Pack #2 will also be made available on the 16th, offering four new maps (Battleground, Lost Technology, Ruins and Ice Drop) as a free 400 MB download.<\/p>\n

For the 360 Lost Planet<\/em> community, the four maps listed above as part of PC Map Pack #2 will be made available for free as Xbox 360 Map Pack #3 on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
