For Xbox 360 Call of Duty Elite premium members, the nine-month Modern Warfare 3<\/em> downloadable content season<\/a> began over a week ago on January 24th. PS3 Elite members are forced to tough it out, paying the same yearly subscription for lagging content drops. That’s kind of annoying, but at least PS3 Modern Warfare 3<\/em> veterans have a firm season kick off date to look forward to now.<\/p>\n

For PlayStation Network Call of Duty Elite subscribers, the Modern Warfare 3<\/em> DLC season is scheduled to begin February 28th with the same two content drops Xbox 360 users got over a month earlier. Those would be the Liberation and Piazza maps for multiplayer and survival mode play.<\/p>\n

So, I suppose the exclusivity pattern has been established. Xbox 360 gets the DLC first, PS3 will get the same content drops roughly a month later, and then sometime after that all players will get the opportunity to purchase Content Collections separately without a premium membership. <\/p>\n

That’s petty much an identical release schedule to Black Ops<\/em>. Not a huge discrepancy, folks. You’re still getting all the same content at the same rate.
