Beyond Halo 4<\/em>, Microsoft clearly seems intent on making 2012 the year of Kinect, as most of the publisher’s first-party productions are for Kinect and numerous third parties are also embracing Xbox 360 motion control stronger than ever. At the top of the list of non-kiddie Kinect games is Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor<\/em>, the mech–I mean Vertical Tank–battlefield simulation coming your way courtesy of Capcom and From Software. <\/p>\n

The good news is that this installment won’t require some massive (and expensive) control pad to run; just plug in your Kinect and grab a regular Xbox 360 controller, and you’ll be good to go.<\/p>\n

The other good news is that of this week’s confirmation of official Western launch dates. Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor<\/em>‘s Kinect invasion is scheduled to begin June 19th in North America and June 22nd in Europe. Prepare for battle by watching the two new videos below–one’s a story trailer, the other features nearly five minutes of straight gameplay footage–and browsing the latest gallery of screenshots.<\/p>\n
