Grip Games brings a parlor game favorite to PS3 and PS Vita for the first time ever by way of PlayStation Network download, digitally shipping Foosball 2012<\/em><\/a> to the PlayStation Stores in North and South America, Europe and elsewhere this spring.<\/p>\n

Foosball 2012<\/em> presents a realistic video game adaptation of the classic table football\/soccer pastime, one that will simultaneously take advantage of each platform’s individual hardware traits and unite the two within Sony’s PlayStation gaming cloud.<\/p>\n

On the PS3, the game will support standard DualShock 3 controls as well as the PlayStation Move, while rear touch pad and SixAxis accelerometer controls will be utilized on the Vita. The two versions of the game will be connected to each other in two ways: Cross platform functionality will allow players on one system to compete against players on the other system, and game continuation will give players with both systems the option to transfer progress between platforms, so they can start a match at home on the couch and finish it while on the go.<\/p>\n

Both versions will share single player modes, local and online four-player action, leaderboards, and a selection of nine table settings and six ball types. Best of all, the two version will come bundled together. Yep, that’s right. For one price, you’ll be able to play and share the game on your PS3 and Vita. What that price will be, though, has not yet been announced.<\/p>\n
