EverQuest<\/em> and EverQuest II<\/em> players can now get in on the card questing goodness of Legends of Norrath Oathbound<\/em><\/a>, as Sony Online Entertainment has officially launched the virtual trading card game within both titles. I’ve tried it out for a few minutes, going through some of the tutorials to begin learning the ins and outs of the rules, and so far it appears to be a great addition to the franchise. Accessing the game is simple enough too, just log into EQ<\/em> or EQII<\/em> and it’s right there in the menu — you can jump back and forth between MMO-ing and card battling whenever you please.<\/p>\n

As the first release in a series of Legends of Norrath<\/em> storyline card sets, Oathbound<\/em> launches with over 375 digital cards to collect, with 55-card digital starter decks running $9.99 and 15-card digital booster packs going for $2.99 apiece. Thankfully, all EQ<\/em> and EQII<\/em> subscribers get a free starter deck to kick things off with. The game features player vs. player card duels, single-player campaigns, tournament lobbies and an in-depth loot system featuring over 30 loot reward cards granting special in-game items to players in both EQ<\/em> and EQII<\/em>, things like spells, weapon adornments, mounts and various other equipment pieces.
