Bethesda Softworks has announced that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition<\/strong> (GotY) has shipped for Xbox 360 and Windows and should be in stores as you’re reading this.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re new to Oblivion, you\u2019ll be happy to know that GotY includes the original version of the award-winning 2006 RPG, along with the official expansion, The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles, and the Knights of the Nine download pack. Oblivion\u2019s dozens of hours of open-ended gameplay, lush visuals and sound design will sweep you away as you submerge yourself in this beautiful, dynamic (and often deadly) game world. The Shivering Isles expansion adds a twisted (and stunning) new plane of Oblivion run by Sheogorath, the Daedric Prince of Madness. Knights of the Nine adds an all-new faction and quests for noble characters, answering many of the questions surrounding the mysterious Ayleid ruins found throughout Oblivion\u2019s landscape.<\/p>\n

Playstation 3 owners, fear not: Oblivion GotY will be available sometime in October, so go reserve a copy. Next month, Bethesda will also ship the Xbox 360 version of Shivering Isles<\/a> to retailers as a standalone expansion, allowing players who already have the original game and Knights of the Nine download to purchase the expansion.
