Today is a good day if you’re an indie gamer and\/or an indie game developer. Valve has announced the launch of its latest Steam feature, Steam Greenlight<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Steam Greenlight is a community-driven launching pad for up and coming indie games. Developers and publishers post information about their game, and then the Steam community spreads the word and votes to determine which games get the green light for digital distribution. <\/p>\n

According to Valve, there is no set number of votes a game needs to earn to release priority over others. It’ll all be based on the feedback and interest each game draws relative to others. Just vote for the games that you want to see released for Steam and tell all your friends and fellow gamers to do the same.<\/p>\n

Over 200 titles have already been posted for approval, although it looks like there are more than a few fraudulent submissions that still need to be flagged and removed.
