Any way, I only mention this because Mr. Hardy has been officially attached to the role of Sam Fisher for an upcoming film adaptation of Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell<\/em> series. It’s still hard to see\/hear any one other than Michael Ironside as Sam Fisher, which will also be strange in the next game as a new actor is taking over the role for Splinter Cell: Blacklist<\/em>, but Hardy pulls off the scruffy bearded look pretty well and has proven he has incredible range as an actor so I can see him nailing the part. <\/p>\n

The movie timeline would have to take place in Sam’s younger years I would think (Hardy is 20 years Fisher’s junior), unless they decide to use Hollywood magic to age him a bit for the role. But such details about the big screen adaptation are still to come. Basically, we know Hardy will play Sam Fisher and Eric Singer (The International<\/em>) is writing the screenplay. That’s about it for now. When all’s said and done, hopefully this will be a video game movie that doesn’t suck goat testicles.<\/p>\n
