At its media summit late last week, Nintendo finally took the wraps off the next Advance Wars<\/em> installment for the DS, subtitled Days of Ruin<\/em>. A full disclosure of features is still to come, but as of now I can tell you that it’ll feature new units, Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection online play with voice chat support, upload functionality built into the game’s map designer tool for sharing your map creations with others, and a variety of subtle gameplay tweaks and balances — oh and it’s scheduled to hit retail on January 21, 2008. As you can see in the following trailer and screenshot gallery, Intelligent Systems has also given the game somewhat of a makeover with character designs and overall art style that have a bit more of a realistic edge.<\/p>\n
