Coming up alongside the Titanfall launch on March 11th, Microsoft will ship a companion limited edition controller for the Xbox One first-person shooter from EA and Respawn Entertainment.

The design and art teams at Xbox and Respawn collaborated on the controller’s development, a design intended to represent “a piece of military spec hardware transported from the universe of Titanfall and into players hands.” More specifically, the controller was created to look like the C-101 carbine used in the game by elite Titan pilots. A piece of military hardware isn’t exactly the first thing that comes to mind when I see the controller, but I don’t care because it sure is one slick, futuristic-looking gamepad nonetheless.

The Titanfall controller is now available for US pre-order on the Microsoft online store for $64.99. No, you didn’t misread that value; the controller is more expensive than the game itself.
